The Chef's name is Miguel and he never imagined that he would receive such a prestigious invitation to cook for a royal family in Ireland. Miguel is an aspiring chef who runs a small, authentic Mexican restaurant in East L.A. He is ecstatic to be invited to the royal banquet, which is to take place in a grand manor house on the outskirts of Dublin.
When Miguel arrives in Ireland, he is amazed by the beauty of the countryside and the grandeur of the manor. He is immediately introduced to the Lord of the manor, who is a gentle, elderly man with a big heart. The Lord explains to Miguel that the reason for the banquet is to convince his grandmother to sell the manor. She is the only one who has refused to sell, and the Lord hopes that the lavish banquet will sway her.
Miguel sets to work in the kitchen, and he creates a stunning array of Mexican dishes blended with Irish ingredients, which is a first for the royal family. The banquet is an extravagant affair, full of opulence, fine wine, and delicious food. Miguel is nervous as he serves his food to the royal family but is pleased to see that they enjoy his dishes.
However, despite his best cooking, the grandmother refuses to sell the house. Miguel is upset and worried that all of his hard work was for nothing. But the Lord assures him that his cooking has brought something special to the household, and they will always remember him for it.
Miguel returns to East L.A. with new-found confidence and a renewed passion for cooking. He has had an unforgettable adventure and has made lifelong friends in Ireland.
