After being discovered by Fisher, Henry joins the Cubs as their new pitcher and becomes an overnight sensation. With his newfound talent, he helps turn the struggling team's season around and starts a winning streak. However, Henry's sudden fame and success causes him to become arrogant and distant from his friends and family.
As the playoffs approach, Henry's arm begins to weaken from overuse. The Cubs face the New York Mets in the playoffs, and Henry struggles to keep up with their strong hitters. In the final game of the series, Henry injures his shoulder and is forced to leave the game. Despite this setback, the Cubs go on to win the game and advance to the World Series.
During the World Series, Henry discovers that he has lost his fastball due to his injury and must rely on his other pitches to win. In the final game, the Cubs are down by one run, and Henry comes up to bat with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. With his arm still injured, Henry surprises everyone by hitting a home run and winning the game for the Cubs.
In the end, Henry learns a valuable lesson about the importance of humility and teamwork, and decides to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor instead of a professional baseball player.
