Romeo and Juliet: Beyond Words is a 2019 film adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic tragedy. It is unique in that it is a ballet, completely devoid of dialogue. The film features the music of Sergei Prokofiev and was choreographed by Edward Clug.

The film begins with the introduction of the Capulet and Montague families and their long-standing feud in Verona. Romeo, a young Montague, attends a Capulet ball where he and Juliet, the daughter of the Capulet patriarch, fall instantly in love. They quickly become betrothed in secret but their happiness is short-lived.

Tybalt, Juliet's hotheaded cousin, discovers Romeo at the Capulet ball and is determined to have him punished. In a scuffle, Romeo ends up killing Tybalt, which leads to his banishment from Verona. Juliet is devastated but resolves to reunite with her love.

Their plans to escape together are foiled when Juliet is promised to another man in marriage. Desperate to be with Romeo, Juliet fakes her own death with the use of a sleeping potion. Romeo, not knowing of her plan, returns to Verona and discovers Juliet seemingly dead. Overcome with grief, Romeo takes his own life. Juliet awakens to find Romeo dead and chooses to follow him in death.

The film concludes with the two families putting aside their feud and acknowledging the tragedy of their children's deaths.
