The film tells the story of Emily, a career-driven journalist who decides to take a break from work and go on a romantic retreat to try and mend her broken heart after a devastating breakup. While on the trip, she meets Jake, a tech guru who is at the center of a breaking scandal. Despite her initial reservations about getting involved with him, Emily finds herself falling for Jake.
As they spend more time together, Emily struggles with the choice between her career and her heart. She knows that exposing Jake's scandal could be the biggest story of her career, but she can't deny her feelings for him. Meanwhile, Jake tries to prove his innocence and clear his name, all while falling deeper in love with Emily.
As the story unfolds, Emily is forced to make a decision that will impact not only her own future, but also Jake's.
