Molly and Jared are both successful professionals living in the city and have each experienced their share of heartbreak during the holiday season. They both decide to avoid any holiday events or festivities altogether, choosing instead to focus on their careers. However, circumstances beyond their control lead them to the Reindeer Lodge, a remote ranch in the mountains, where they are forced to stay for several days.
At first, they are both resistant to the ranch's Christmas-themed activities and decorations, but as they get to know each other and the other guests, they begin to open up and let go of their cynicism. Molly finds herself drawn to the lodge's owner, Nick, a charming and handsome cowboy, while Jared bonds with his young son, who is also a guest at the lodge.
As the days go by, Molly and Jared begin to realize that they may have found something special in each other. However, their past traumas and the distance between their respective cities threaten to keep them apart. It isn't until they both let go of their fears and take a chance on love that they truly come together. In the end, they realize that the magic of Christmas and the warmth of new love are worth the risk of letting down their guard.
