Roger Dodger is a 2002 American comedy-drama film directed by Dylan Kidd and stars Campbell Scott, Jesse Eisenberg, and Elizabeth Berkley. The film follows Roger Swanson (Campbell Scott), a successful advertising copywriter who is known for his smooth-talking and womanizing ways. After breaking up with his boss and lover, Joyce (Isabella Rossellini), Roger is forced to confront his own insecurities and failures with women.

One day, Roger's teenage nephew, Nick (Jesse Eisenberg), comes to the city to visit him, hoping to learn how to pick up women. Seeing this as an opportunity to prove himself, Roger takes Nick out on the town to teach him the art of seduction. Along the way, they encounter a variety of women, including Andrea (Elizabeth Berkley), a confident and sexually liberated woman who challenges Roger's beliefs about sex and relationships.

As the night progresses, Roger's self-destructive behavior begins to catch up with him, and he finds himself struggling to maintain his facade of charm and control. Meanwhile, Nick begins to see the darker side of his uncle's lifestyle and realizes that there is more to life than just casual sex.

The film explores themes of masculinity, relationships, and the modern dating scene, as well as the consequences of toxic behavior and the importance of self-reflection. With its clever writing and strong performances, Roger Dodger is a thought-provoking and entertaining examination of the complexities of human relationships.
