RoboCop 2 is a 1990 American cyberpunk action film directed by Irvin Kershner and written by Frank Miller and Walon Green. It is the sequel to the 1987 film RoboCop.
In the film, Omni Consumer Products (OCP), a large corporation that runs the city of Detroit, wants to create a new version of RoboCop, but the prototypes keep failing. Meanwhile, a new drug called "Nuke" is flooding the streets, causing chaos and mayhem. The drug is led by a deranged criminal named Cain, who believes himself to be a god.
Cain is eventually captured by OCP, and Dr. Juliette Faxx uses him as the subject for the new RoboCop 2 project. The new cyborg is stronger and more advanced than the original RoboCop, but is also more aggressive and uncontrollable.
As the new RoboCop 2 wreaks havoc on the city, Murphy (the original RoboCop) must fight to stop him and bring down the ruthless corporation behind his creation.
The film explores themes of corporate corruption, addiction, and the ethics of artificial intelligence. It was not as well-received as the original film, but has since gained a cult following.
