The film is set in 1920s England, and follows the young Roald Dahl as he embarks on an adventure to meet his favorite author, Beatrix Potter. Despite the odds being against him, Roald sets off on a journey to find Beatrix and ask her for her advice on becoming a writer.

Along the way, Roald meets a cast of colorful characters, including a talking mouse (played by Rob Brydon) and a grumpy hotelier (played by Alison Steadman). With determination and a little bit of magic, Roald finally reaches Beatrix's home in the Lake District and has a heartwarming encounter with the famous author.

The film is a tribute to the power of imagination and the magic of childhood, and features many of the characters and themes that have made Dahl and Potter's stories beloved by generations. It is directed by David Kerr and written by Abigail Wilson.
