Horror,Mystery,Thriller  Australia

Roadgames is a 1981 Australian thriller film written and directed by Richard Franklin. The film stars Stacy Keach as a truck driver named Pat Quid who plays a cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer, who is using a young hitchhiker named Pamela Rushworth (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) as bait to lure his victims.

The movie is set in the vast and desolate Australian Outback, where Pat Quid transports meat across the country. Along the way, he uses his CB radio to chat with fellow truckers, who reveal the latest gossip and news. He encounters a strange man named Smith (played by Grant Page) who appears to be following him in a van. Meanwhile, he picks up a hitchhiker named Pamela Rushworth, who is on her way to visit her boyfriend.

After overhearing a conversation on his CB radio about a string of murders committed by a psychopathic killer, Quid becomes suspicious of Smith, who seems to be the prime suspect. As his suspicions grow, Quid uses his truck to follow Smith and use his CB radio to report his movements to the police. Quid's relationship with Pamela also grows, and he tries to protect her from the killer.

The tension builds as Quid races against time to uncover the killer's identity and prevent him from claiming any more victims. The final chase scene, which takes place on a winding road at night, is a tense and thrilling conclusion to the movie.

Roadgames is a suspenseful and atmospheric thriller with strong performances from Keach and Curtis. The movie pays homage to Alfred Hitchcock's classic film Rear Window, as Quid's position in his truck mirrors James Stewart's position as a wheelchair-bound voyeur in Hitchcock's movie.
