Cozy is a mother and wife who feels trapped in her mundane life in suburban Florida. One night, she goes to a bar and meets Lee, a charismatic and reckless man who convinces her to go on a spontaneous adventure. They break into a stranger's home but end up accidentally firing a gun. They flee the scene, believing they have committed murder.
Desperate and on the run, Cozy and Lee struggle to survive in the harsh and unfamiliar environment of the Florida Everglades. They form an unlikely bond as they navigate their way through various mishaps and close calls. However, their journey takes a dark turn when Cozy's husband finds out about their adventure and sets out to bring them to justice.
Despite the tension and danger, Cozy and Lee find moments of freedom and joy in their journey together. The film explores themes of escapism, boredom, and the desire for adventure.
