Revenge of the Cheerleaders is a 1976 comedy film directed by Richard Lerner and starring Jerii Woods, Cheryl Smith, Helen Lang, Patrice Rohmer, and David Hasselhoff. It is a sequel to the 1973 film The Cheerleaders, and follows a group of cheerleaders at Aloha High School who plot revenge against their school's corrupt administration.
The film begins with the announcement that Aloha High School will be merged with a nearby high school, which causes concern for the cheerleaders who fear losing their identity. Meanwhile, the school's principal and teachers are involved in a money-making scheme involving the school's funds, while the school's football coach is engaged in an affair with one of the cheerleaders.
The cheerleaders decide to take matters into their own hands and plot to take down the corrupt administration by staging protests, creating scandals, and enlisting the help of a group of bikers. Along the way, they also have to deal with personal issues, such as teenage pregnancy and the pressures of being a cheerleader.
Revenge of the Cheerleaders is known for its comedic and campy tone, as well as its musical numbers and choreographed dance routines. It has gained a cult following over the years and is frequently cited as a prime example of the exploitation film genre.
