Dorothy returns to Oz and realizes that the place has changed a lot since her last visit. The Emerald City is in ruins, and the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion are missing. Together with her new friends Tik-Tok, Jack Pumpkinhead, and a talking chicken named Billina, Dorothy sets out to find her old friends and restore Oz to its former glory.
However, they soon encounter the evil Nome King, who has taken over the Emerald City and enslaved the inhabitants. The Nome King has the power to turn people into stone, and he threatens to do the same to Dorothy and her friends.
Dorothy and her companions must navigate through dangerous obstacles and solve riddles to defeat the Nome King and save the people of Oz. Along the way, they also encounter other familiar characters, such as the Wicked Witch of the West and Princess Ozma.
Return to Oz is a visually stunning and darkly surreal interpretation of the Oz series, and despite its darker tone, still manages to capture the magic and wonder of the original story.
