Return to Nim's Island is a family adventure film directed by Brendan Maher and released in 2013. It is the sequel to the 2008 film Nim's Island and stars Bindi Irwin as Nim, the young protagonist.
The movie takes place a few years after the first one. Nim, now a teenager, is living on her beloved island with her animal friends, including Selkie the sea lion, Fred the bearded dragon, and Chica the iguana. When she learns that resort developers are planning to build a hotel on the island, Nim becomes determined to stop them and save the wildlife.
At the same time, Nim also has to deal with a group of animal poachers led by Dexter, who is after a rare and endangered species of bird that lives on the island. Nim's animal friends help her thwart the poachers, but she realizes that she can't do it alone. That's when she meets Edmund, a runaway from the mainland who shares her love for nature and animals.
Together, Nim and Edmund hatch a plan to stop the developers and the poachers. They use their knowledge of the island and its wildlife to outsmart their enemies and protect the environment. Along the way, Nim learns to trust humans again and makes a true friend in Edmund.
