In Return from Witch Mountain, Tia and Tony are living peacefully on Witch Mountain, using their psychic abilities to help the local townspeople. One day, they receive a message from their foster grandfather Lucas Deranian, who tells them that they must come to Los Angeles to fulfill a mission.
Once in Los Angeles, Tony is kidnapped by the evil Dr. Gannon and his partner Letha, who are working on a secret project that involves mind control. They brainwash Tony into using his powers to help them steal money and commit other crimes.
Tia teams up with a group of truant kids who become her allies in the search for Tony. Using her own psychic abilities, Tia is able to track down Tony's location and mount a rescue mission to save him from Gannon’s clutches.
The group of kids, led by Tia and her close friend Sickle, band together to help stop Gannon and Letha’s plan to use a powerful secret device to create a devastating natural disaster. The kids use their resourcefulness and ingenuity to outsmart Gannon and Letha’s henchmen and ultimately save the day.
In the end, Tia and Tony return to Witch Mountain and their peaceful life, while the truant kids learn valuable lessons about themselves and their own ability to make a difference in the world.
