Rest Stop is a horror movie directed by John Shiban and released in 2006. The movie opens with Nicole Carrow (played by Jaimie Alexander) and her boyfriend Jess (played by Joey Mendicino) on a road trip to California. As they drive through a remote stretch of desert highway, they stop at a rest stop to take a break and use the restroom.

While Nicole is freshening up, Jess goes missing, and Nicole begins to fear that something terrible has happened to him. Her fears are soon confirmed when she receives a phone call from a sadistic serial killer (played by Deanna Russo) who claims to have Jess in his clutches.

Nicole is then subjected to a series of gruesome and terrifying ordeals as she attempts to rescue Jess and escape from the killer's clutches. Along the way, she encounters several other victims of the killer, including a teenage runaway named Sean and his drug-addicted girlfriend, who are also being held captive.

As the movie progresses, the killer's true motivations and identity are slowly revealed, leading to a shocking and violent finale that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats. Rest Stop received mixed reviews upon its release, but has since gained a cult following among fans of the horror genre.
