In Resort to Love, Erica (played by Christina Milian) is a talented singer who has just experienced a major setback in her career. She was dropped by her record label and is struggling to find her footing in the music industry. To make matters worse, she is still dealing with the emotional fallout from her broken engagement to her ex-fiancé Jason (played by Jay Pharoah).
In an effort to move on and make some money, Erica accepts a gig as a resort singer on a picturesque island. However, when she arrives, she discovers that the resort is actually the site of her ex-fiancé's wedding. Despite her reservations, Erica decides to stay and perform at the wedding, hoping to make the most of the situation.
As Erica begins to sing and reconnect with Jason, she starts to realize that she still has feelings for him.
