Ava is a go-getter with a Type-A personality who runs a business called Rent-an-Elf, which specializes in creating unforgettable Christmases for busy families. Her dedication to her job is relentless, which is why she is not surprised when she is approached by Liam, a newly-single dad who wants to make his son's first Christmas without his mother a special one. Liam is a kind, caring man who is doing his best for his son, Nathan. He's also very attractive, and Ava can't help but notice.
As Ava sets about creating the perfect Christmas for Liam and Nathan, she begins to fall for them both. Liam is a natural with his son, and watching them together is heartwarming. Ava also learns that Liam's ex-wife, who left him and Nathan, wants to reconcile.
