In Reno 911!: It's a Wonderful Heist, Lieutenant Dangle (played by Thomas Lennon) is having a tough time during the holiday season. He's feeling unappreciated and like his contributions are not making a difference in the lives of his fellow deputies. When he meets a roller skating "Angel" (played by Kerri Kenney-Silver) who shows him a world where he never existed, he starts to realize that his actions have had a positive impact on those around him.
The movie features the same cast of characters from the TV show Reno 911!, including Deputy Travis Junior (played by Robert Ben Garant), Deputy Wiegel (played by Kerri Kenney-Silver), and Deputy Jones (played by Cedric Yarbrough). They are all busy with their own holiday plans, including Travis Junior's obsession with a live Nativity scene and Deputy Wiegel's search for a boyfriend.
However, their plans are disrupted when a group of Christmas criminals start wreaking havoc in Reno. The deputies must band together to catch the thieves and save Christmas for the citizens of Reno.
As Dangle learns the importance of his role in the lives of his fellow deputies, he must make a decision about whether or not he wants to continue living. Will he decide that his life is worth living despite the struggles he's facing, or will he choose to disappear into the alternate world the Angel has shown him? All will be revealed in Reno 911!: It's a Wonderful Heist.
