Reefa is a feature film that is inspired by the true story of 18-year-old Colombian immigrant Israel Hernandez Jr., a young artist who tragically lost his life at the hands of a police officer in Miami. One night, while Israel is spray painting a mural, a police officer interrupts him and demands that he stop. Israel runs away, but is eventually tackled and tasered by the officer, resulting in his death. The incident sends shockwaves through the Miami community and ignites protests against police brutality.
