Reefa is a feature film that is inspired by the true story of 18-year-old Colombian immigrant Israel Hernandez Jr., a young artist who tragically lost his life at the hands of a police officer in Miami. The film follows Israel (played by Tyler Dean Flores) and his friends as they navigate the city's vibrant art scene, skateboarding through the streets and creating stunning graffiti art in Wynwood, a neighborhood known for its colorful murals.

Despite his talent, Israel is facing real-world challenges - he and his family are undocumented immigrants, and they are anxiously awaiting their Green Cards. Meanwhile, Israel is desperate for recognition in the art world and aims to create a work of art that will establish his reputation among his peers.

One night, while Israel is spray painting a mural, a police officer interrupts him and demands that he stop. Israel runs away, but is eventually tackled and tasered by the officer, resulting in his death. The incident sends shockwaves through the Miami community and ignites protests against police brutality.

The film explores themes of police violence, immigration, and the struggles faced by young artists trying to make their mark in the world. It also features a moving portrayal of Israel's family and friends as they mourn his loss and fight for justice in the face of tragedy.
