Valerie is a young woman living in a medieval village which is constantly haunted by a werewolf. She is in love with Peter, a poor woodcutter, but her parents have arranged for her to marry a wealthy blacksmith named Henry. Meanwhile, the village is thrown into chaos when Valerie's sister is found murdered by the werewolf. Seizing the opportunity, Father Solomon, an infamous werewolf hunter, arrives in the village to capture and kill the beast. However, he soon realizes that the werewolf is not just an animal, but a human who transforms by night. The villagers become suspicious of each other and tensions rise as they try to uncover the identity of the werewolf. Valerie soon discovers that she has a connection to the werewolf and the truth about her family is revealed. As the night of the Blood Moon approaches, Valerie must decide between fulfilling her duty to her family and following her heart.
