Recep ?vedik 6 is a Turkish comedy film directed by Togan Gökbakar and released in 2019. It is the sixth installment in the Recep ?vedik film series and stars Şahan Gökbakar as the title character.
In the film, Recep ?vedik and his best friend Nurullah (played by Nurullah Çelebi) set out to attend the annual dried beans festival in Konya, Turkey. However, due to a mix-up with their travel agency, they end up flying to Kenya instead. Upon arriving, they embark on a safari tour but get lost in the wilderness and become caught in the middle of a conflict between two local tribes.
Throughout the movie, Recep ?vedik finds himself in a series of wild and comedic situations as he tries to navigate the unfamiliar African landscape and find a way back home. He encounters dangerous animals, mischievous tribespeople, and even takes part in a tribal dance competition.
Despite the challenges they face, Recep and Nurullah manage to find a way back to Turkey, bringing with them newfound appreciation for their home and the adventures they had along the way.
The film was a box office success, grossing over 70 million Turkish lira (approximately $10.6 million) in its opening weekend. It received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its humor and others criticizing its reliance on slapstick comedy.
