Abbey is a successful New York City artist who has lost touch with her small-town roots and the joy of Christmas. She is sent back to her hometown to help her parents repair their old Victorian house, which has fallen into disrepair. While there, Abbey reconnects with her childhood crush, Ben, who has become a widower with a young son named Sam.
Abbey discovers an old box of her grandmother's handmade Christmas ornaments and is inspired to recreate them for the town's annual Christmas fair. Ben and Sam eagerly join in on the project, and as they work on the ornaments, Abbey starts to rediscover the magic of Christmas and the importance of family and community.
