Real Men is a 1987 action-comedy film directed by Dennis Feldman and starring Jim Belushi and John Ritter. Belushi plays Special Agent Nick Pirandello, a tough and efficient FBI agent who is tasked with delivering a top-secret briefcase to a military base in Utah. Ritter plays Bob Wilson, an average guy who is mistaken for a secret agent by Pirandello's boss.
Pirandello enlists Wilson's help in order to complete the mission, but as they travel across the country, they become embroiled in a web of intrigue involving Russian spies, cloned humanoids, and a government conspiracy. Along the way, Wilson learns to stand up for himself and develop some bravery, while Pirandello discovers his more emotional side.
The film features a number of humorous situations and action-packed sequences, with Belushi and Ritter playing off each other's contrasting personalities. Other notable performances come from Anne De Salvo as Pirandello's tough and sarcastic colleague, and Michael D. Roberts as a wise-cracking cab driver who gets caught up in the chaos.
Real Men received mixed reviews upon its release but has since gained a cult following for its offbeat humor and inventive plot twists.
