Ready to Run is a heartwarming Disney film released in 2000. The story revolves around a young girl named Corrie Ortiz, who works at a racetrack owned by her father. Corrie dreams of becoming a jockey but she's considered too young and inexperienced.
One day, a rich businessman named Everett Jeffries comes to the track with his talking racehorse named Thunder Jam. However, Thunder Jam has issues and refuses to race. He constantly talks back to his jockey and throws tantrums. Jeffries is about to sell Thunder Jam, but Corrie convinces him to let her train the horse instead.
Skeptical at first, Jeffries agrees to give Corrie a chance. She starts working with Thunder Jam and slowly discovers that the horse is afraid of running in packs. He was once brutally bullied by other horses during a race and has been traumatized ever since.
With patience and dedication, Corrie devises a new training regimen for Thunder Jam, and they work together to overcome his fears and rebuild his confidence. Corrie's father notices the progress and allows her to enter a big race with Thunder Jam.
On race day, everything is perfect until Thunder Jam sees the other horses. But Corrie manages to calm him down, and they take off. Despite being the underdogs, Thunder Jam and Corrie shock everyone by winning the race.
In the end, Corrie becomes a successful jockey, Jeffries becomes a better owner, and Thunder Jam finds happiness and success on the racetrack. This wonderful family movie teaches the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and friendship.
