Ready or Not is a dark comedy horror movie about a young bride named Grace (played by Samara Weaving) who marries into the wealthy and eccentric Le Domas family. As part of a long-standing tradition, Grace is informed that she must take part in a game on the night of her wedding.
At first, she thinks it's a harmless game of hide-and-seek, but soon discovers that the family plans to hunt her down and kill her as part of a Satanic ritual to maintain their wealth and success. Grace must fight for survival against her new in-laws, including the matriarch Mrs. Le Domas (played by Andie MacDowell) and her eccentric brother-in-law (played by Adam Brody).
As Grace tries to evade her pursuers and make it through the night alive, the movie explores themes of family, tradition, and the lengths people will go to in order to protect their wealth and privilege. Ready or Not has been praised for its blend of horror and comedy, along with its standout performance by Samara Weaving as the determined and resourceful Grace.
