The movie begins with Subaru, Emilia, and the rest of their friends enjoying some rare downtime in the village. Subaru then reveals to Emilia that he has a secret mission to fulfill for Rem's sake and asks her to go on a date with him as a cover-up. Emilia agrees and the two embark on a "date course" around the village.
Meanwhile, Petra and the other children of the village notice Subaru's strange behavior and become suspicious of his actions. They follow him around, eventually figuring out his true intentions. However, they decide to help him complete his mission without revealing his secret to anyone else.
As Subaru and Emilia continue their date, they run into various obstacles and challenges, including a snowstorm and a surprise attack by a group of thieves. In the end, Subaru and his team are able to successfully complete their mission, with the help of Petra and the other children.
The movie ends with Subaru and Emilia reflecting on their day and their growing relationship, while also teasing a potential new adventure in the future.
