Razorback

Horror  Australia

Razorback is an Australian horror film directed by Russell Mulcahy and released in 1984. The film follows Carl Winters, an American journalist, as he investigates the mysterious disappearance of his brother in the Australian outback. He soon discovers that a monstrous and highly aggressive wild boar, known as the razorback, is responsible for the killings.

The film is set in a small community in the outback, where the locals live in fear of the razorback. Among them is Jake Cullen, a farmer whose grandson was killed by the razorback. Jake seeks revenge on the monster and, along with Carl, sets out to find and kill it.

As they embark on their mission, they uncover a dark secret involving a local businessman named Benny Baker. Baker, who has been illegally dumping toxic waste in the area, is using the razorback to dispose of the evidence by feeding it the contaminated meat.

The film is known for its intense and gruesome scenes, including the razorback attacking and killing humans. It also features stunning cinematography, capturing the vast landscape of the Australian outback.

Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release, Razorback has since gained a cult following and has been praised for its unique blend of horror, action, and thriller.
