Raw Nerve follows the story of a successful race car driver named Jimmy Devane, who is haunted by disturbing visions of the victims of a serial killer. Obsessed with the thought that he can prevent more murders from happening, Jimmy sets out to convince the local police department and a determined reporter named Kate Bridges to take him seriously.
Despite initial skepticism, Jimmy manages to convince Kate and Detective Artie Taggart to help him track down the murderer before he strikes again. As they delve deeper into the investigation, the trio realizes that the killer seems to be targeting women who are somehow connected to the racing world.
As Jimmy's visions become more intense and he puts himself in increasingly dangerous situations, the team races against time to catch the killer, while also grappling with their own personal demons and conflicting ambitions.
