Ravers is a British horror-comedy film directed by Bernhard Pucher. The story follows Becky (played by Georgia Hirst), a germaphobic journalist who attends an illegal rave organized in an abandoned factory. The rave is sponsored by an energy drink called Rapture, which turns out to be contaminated with a deadly virus.
As the night progresses, the infected ravers turn into violent and bloodthirsty zombies, attacking anyone in their path. With the help of her friend Zoe (played by Natasha Henstridge) and a group of survivors, Becky fights to survive and escape the factory. Along the way, they encounter various challenges, including a sadistic security guard and a mysterious doctor who may hold the key to the virus.
Throughout the film, Becky must overcome her fear of germs and contamination to save her friends and herself. Ravers combines elements of horror and comedy, with plenty of gore and suspenseful moments. The film also explores themes of addiction and corporate greed, as the energy drink company's reckless actions cause the outbreak. Ravers premiered at the Frightfest Film Festival in 2018 and was later released on VOD in 2020.
