Rated X

Drama  United States of America

Rated X is an American television drama film that was released in 2000. The movie was directed by Emilio Estevez and it starred Estevez, along with his real-life brother, Charlie Sheen, in the lead roles as Jim and Artie Mitchell.

The film is based on the true story of the brothers who started their careers as successful pornographers in the 60s. The Mitchell brothers are credited with pioneering the porn industry, by producing the first feature-length adult film, "Behind the Green Door". The movie was a hit, and it propelled the brothers' careers to great heights.

However, the brothers' success was short-lived as they became addicted to drugs and their personal lives spiraled out of control. They became involved in a series of legal battles with the authorities, with each other, and with other players in the industry. Eventually, their once-thriving business went bankrupt.

In a final tragic turn of events, Jim Mitchell killed his brother Artie in a fit of rage in 1991. Jim was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Rated X tells the story of the Mitchell brothers' rise to fame, their gradual descent into drug addiction, and their eventual downfall. The film explores the brothers' complicated relationship, as well as the complex cultural and legal issues surrounding the porn industry in the United States. The film is also notable for the performances of Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez, who deliver powerful performances as the troubled brothers.
