Randy's Canvas is a 2018 independent film directed and written by Sean Michael Beyer. The film follows the story of Randy (played by Adam Carbone), a young artist with autism who struggles to communicate with people but expresses himself through his artwork.
As he graduates from a special education program, Randy is faced with the challenge of finding his place in a society that is not always accepting of people with disabilities. With the help of his mother (played by Marycarmen Lopez) and mentor (played by Scout Taylor-Compton), he lands a job at a local cafe and begins to develop a relationship with a young writer named Cassie (played by Massiel Mordan), who sees the beauty in his artwork and the person he truly is.
However, when Cassie's ex-boyfriend (played by Kevin G. Schmidt) returns to town and tries to win her back, Randy's newfound happiness is put to the test. Will he be able to overcome his fears and insecurities to pursue his dreams and find true love?
