Rampant is a 2018 South Korean historical zombie action film directed by Kim Sung-hoon and starring Hyun Bin and Jang Dong-gun. The movie is set in 16th century Korea during the Joseon Dynasty.
Lee Chung (played by Hyun Bin) has been taken hostage by the Qing Dynasty, led by the treacherous Prince Qing (played by Kim Eui-sung). Lee Chung is known for his love of alcohol, women, and gambling, and being an expert swordsman. He is unaware that his older brother Lee Young (played by Kim Ju-hyuk) is preparing to ascend to the throne of Joseon after the current king dies.
After being held captive for over 10 years, Lee Chung is finally able to return to Joseon, but he soon discovers that the country is being overrun by a bloodthirsty epidemic that has turned many of the citizens into zombies. The disease is spreading quickly, causing panic and chaos throughout the kingdom.
Lee Chung is initially reluctant to get involved in the zombie crisis, but eventually, he realizes that he must take up his sword and fight for the survival of his people. With the help of a group of loyal soldiers led by Kim Ja-joon (played by Jang Dong-gun), Lee Chung sets out to battle the monsters and protect Joseon from destruction.
