Rabid is a horror movie directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska. The story revolves around Rose, a young woman who is scarred in a tragic motorcycle accident. She is taken to a clinic where a radical untested stem-cell treatment is performed on her. The procedure is successful and Rose regains her beauty, but she soon realizes that her transformation has come at a cost.
Rose begins to crave human blood, and those who come into contact with her become infected with a deadly and contagious disease. As the infection spreads, chaos and violence break out in the city, and it's up to Rose to put an end to the outbreak before it's too late.
Rabid is a remake of the 1977 David Cronenberg movie of the same name and stars Laura Vandervoort as Rose. The film was praised for its scares and its exploration of themes such as beauty, obsession, and the consequences of playing God with science.
