Rabbit-Proof Fence is a historical drama film directed by Phillip Noyce and based on the true story of three young girls, Molly Craig, Gracie Fields, and Daisy Kadibil, who are taken by the Australian government from their families in the Jigalong region of Western Australia.

The girls are taken to the Moore River Native Settlement hundreds of miles away from their homes, where they are trained to become domestic servants. However, the girls decide to escape and walk for nine weeks along the rabbit-proof fence, a 1,500-mile fence that runs through Western Australia, in order to get back to their families.

The film portrays the harsh conditions faced by Aboriginal people in Australia during the 1930s, including the government's policy of forcibly removing Aboriginal children from their families and placing them in institutions or with families of European descent. The film also highlights the resilience and strength of the three girls as they face danger and obstacles during their journey.

Rabbit-Proof Fence was released in 2002 and stars Everlyn Sampi as Molly, Tianna Sansbury as Daisy, and Laura Monaghan as Gracie. The film received critical acclaim and won numerous awards, including the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Film.
