After successfully robbing the bank, Grimm, Phyllis, and Loomis face a series of obstacles that prevent them from leaving the city. This includes encountering a parade that blocks their escape route, getting stuck in traffic due to a bridge closure, and facing difficulties with their transportation options.
To make matters worse, they are pursued by a determined and bumbling police officer named Chief Rotzinger, who is determined to catch them before they can leave the city. Rotzinger's ineptitude and bad luck constantly foil the trio's attempts to flee, leading to many comedic and chaotic situations.
As they struggle to navigate the chaotic streets of Manhattan, Grimm, Phyllis, and Loomis must also contend with their own internal conflicts and the increasing tension between them. Phyllis becomes increasingly frustrated with Grimm's lack of planning and impulsiveness, while Loomis begins to question their motivations for committing the robbery in the first place.
Despite their setbacks and disagreements, the three manage to outwit Rotzinger and eventually make it to the airport. However, their troubles are far from over, as they face one final obstacle that threatens to derail their plans for good. In the end, they must rely on each other and their quick thinking to make their final getaway and secure their freedom.
