Jay and Alex, two best friends and roommates, spend a lazy day together doing nothing in particular. As the day progresses, they find themselves discussing different topics, and the conversation eventually turns to their opinions on sexuality. Jay, who is straight, holds some conservative views on the matter, while Alex, who is gay, is more liberal and open-minded.
As they argue and debate each other's opinions, their friendship is put to the test. Both Jay and Alex are forced to question their beliefs and attitudes towards sexuality, as well as their own identities. They explore their past experiences and prejudices, and their discussions soon become more personal and introspective.
Throughout the film, the audience is taken on a journey of self-discovery, as Jay and Alex navigate their way through their own biases and prejudices, and ultimately come to a greater understanding and acceptance of each other. Despite their differences, they come to realize that they are more alike than they previously thought, and that true friendship transcends any superficial differences.
