Quadrophenia follows Jimmy, a restless and disillusioned 60s teenager who finds solace in the Mod subculture of London. He struggles to find his place in the world and rebels against a society that he feels doesn't understand him. His friendships, romances, and sense of identity are all tied to his involvement in the Mod scene, which culminates in a violent confrontation with their sworn enemies, the Rockers. Meanwhile, he's suffering from his own internal struggle, represented by The Who's four-part rock opera that his life seems to parallel.
