Quackerz is an animated adventure film that tells the story of a group of Mandarin ducks who live on a peaceful island. The island is ruled by an Emperor who knows the true story of the legendary Sun Duck, a powerful bird that protected the island from evil forces.
The Sun Duck had loyal guardians who helped him spread sunshine and warmth on the island. However, an evil witch learned about the Sun Duck's powers and kidnapped him along with his guardians. She did this to gain eternal youth and beauty for herself.
Years pass and the legend of the Sun Duck becomes nothing but a myth. However, the Emperor knows that the story is true and that a new generation of Sun Duck has been born. The Emperor keeps this fact secret to protect the young duck from the wicked witch who is still seeking eternal youth.
The plot thickens when a group of military mallards suddenly arrives on the island, flying in direct violation of the island's laws. The mandarin ducks are initially wary of the newcomers but soon they all realize that they need to work together against the common enemy: the evil witch who is still after the Sun Duck.
The animation is done in a 3D format and the film is suitable for families with children. The voice cast includes names like Michael Gross, Jesse Corti, and Enn Reitel.
