Puppet Master: The Legacy is the eighth installment in the Puppet Master franchise. It follows Peter Hertz, a young scientist who is tasked with uncovering the secrets of the puppet master Andre Toulon. After discovering an old trunk filled with Toulon's puppets, Hertz begins to unravel the dark history of the puppets and their previous owners.
As Hertz delves deeper into the puppet master's past, he begins to recount the stories of each of the puppets. He tells the woman, Maclain, about how each puppet has a unique ability and is imbued with the soul of its previous owner. However, Maclain secretly has her own plans for the puppets. She believes that they hold the key to eternal life and plans to use them to achieve immortality.
As Hertz continues to recount the puppet's history, he begins to realize that Maclain has evil intentions and wants to stop her before it's too late. With the help of his trusty assistant, he sets out to save the puppets and stop Maclain from unleashing their power.
Throughout the film, viewers are treated to flashbacks of the puppet master's past, including how he imbued each puppet with a soul and the various owners who have held them over the years. The story culminates in an epic battle between Hertz and Maclain, with the fate of the puppets hanging in the balance. Ultimately, Hertz is able to save the puppets and restore order to the world.
