Punisher: War Zone is a 2008 action-thriller film directed by Lexi Alexander and starring Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle/The Punisher. The film is the third adaptation of the Punisher comic book series, following the 1989 film and the 2004 film.
The movie begins with Frank Castle infiltrating a child pornography ring, taking down the criminals and saving their victims. He then sets his sights on mob boss Billy Russoti, who goes by the alias "Jigsaw." Russoti is in the middle of a deal with some drugs lords, and Frank interrupts, starting a shootout that leaves Russoti with a horribly disfigured face.
Russoti survives the attack and sets out for revenge, forming a gang of criminals and murderers to take down Frank Castle. As Jigsaw's army grows in size and power, the Punisher Task Force, led by Detective Martin Soap, joins in on the hunt for Jigsaw.
The movie is filled with intense action sequences, as Frank Castle delivers brutal punishment to his enemies, often using heavy firepower and hand-to-hand combat skills. Jigsaw's gang proves to be formidable foes, adding extra tension and danger to the plot.
