Pulp Fiction is a 1994 American crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Maria de Medeiros, Ving Rhames, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette, and Christopher Walken. It tells several stories of criminal Los Angeles. The film's title refers to the pulp magazines and hardboiled crime novels popular in the mid-20th century.

The movie is divided into three interrelated stories that unfold in a non-linear format. The first story, titled "Vincent Vega and Marsellus Wallace's Wife," follows the hitman Vincent Vega (Travolta) as he goes about his daily routine, which includes dining with his boss, gangster Marsellus Wallace (Rhames). Later, Vincent takes Mia Wallace (Thurman), Marsellus' wife, out for a night on the town, which leads to unexpected consequences.

The second story, titled "The Gold Watch," follows the activities of a boxer named Butch Coolidge (Willis), who is paid by Marsellus to take a dive in his upcoming match. After Butch takes the money and wins the fight anyway, he becomes the target of Marsellus' wrath.

The third story, titled "The Bonnie Situation," follows Vincent and his partner Jules Winnfield (Jackson) as they try to clean up a bloody mess caused when one of Vincent's targets accidentally gets shot in the face. Along the way, they encounter a couple of amateur criminals and have a philosophical discussion about the meaning of life.

The movie is known for its sharp dialogue, eclectic cast of characters, and iconic soundtrack. It received critical acclaim and became a cultural phenomenon, revitalizing the career of Travolta and launching Tarantino's career as a filmmaker. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning Best Original Screenplay.
