Prom is a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama directed by Joe Nussbaum and released in 2011. It follows the lives of a group of high school seniors in the weeks leading up to their prom night. Nova Prescott, played by Aimee Teegarden, is a perfectionist who is obsessed with planning the perfect prom. But her plans are derailed when the school principal assigns her to work with bad boy Jesse Richter, played by Thomas McDonell, to build the prom decorations.

Mei Kwan, played by Yin Chang, is a quiet student who has a crush on Tyler Barso, played by DeVaughn Nixon. However, Tyler is hiding a secret that could ruin his chance with Mei. Meanwhile, outgoing couple Jordan Lundley, played by Kylie Bunbury, and Justin Wexler, played by Jared Kusnitz, are struggling to maintain their relationship as they prepare for college. Rolo, played by Joe Adler, is Nova's ex-boyfriend who is trying to win her back.

As the students juggle their personal problems and the pressures of the prom, they learn about friendship, romance, and the importance of being true to oneself. The movie features a diverse cast and touches on issues such as peer pressure, identity, and LGBTQ+ representation. It also showcases the excitement and nostalgia of one of the most important events in high school.
