Project A II

Action,Comedy  Hong Kong

Project A II is a 1987 Hong Kong action-comedy film directed by and starring Jackie Chan. The film is a sequel to Chan's 1983 film, Project A, and follows Chan's character, Dragon, as he transitions from the navy to the police force.

Upon his transfer to Sai Wan district, Dragon discovers that the area is controlled by a powerful and ruthless gangster kingpin named "The Tiger," played by Yuen Chor. In addition to dealing with The Tiger and his criminal empire, Dragon also has to navigate the complex political landscape of the area, which is split between pro-Manchu Loyalists and anti-Manchu revolutionaries.

To complicate matters further, Dragon is also pursued by a group of runaway pirates who seek his help in avoiding capture by the government. Meanwhile, Dragon's superior, a corrupt police superintendent, has his own agenda and tries to use Dragon's position for personal gain.

Despite the odds against him, Dragon remains determined to clean up the district and restore peace. Along the way, he enlists the help of his former navy comrades and an anti-Manchu revolutionary, played by Maggie Cheung, to take down The Tiger and his associates.

Project A II features some of Chan's most impressive and daring stunt work, including a thrilling fight sequence on a clock tower. The film was a box office success in Hong Kong and remains a beloved entry in Chan's filmography.
