Private School is a 1983 comedy film directed by Noel Black. The film follows students at a private high school who are all in pursuit of love and sex. The main character, Christine, played by actress Phoebe Cates, is in love with a classmate named Jim, played by Matthew Modine.
However, Jordan, played by actress Betsy Russell, is also interested in Jim and tries to sabotage Christine's relationship with him. Jordan's best friend, Bubba, played by actor Michael Zorek, adds to the chaos by engaging in a series of sex-obsessed pranks throughout the school.
One of Bubba's schemes involves dressing up as a woman so he can sneak into the girls' locker room and take pictures. This results in a hilarious but embarrassing scene where Bubba is caught and exposed in front of the entire school.
Throughout the film, there are also several subplots involving other students and their awkward attempts at romances. One standout character is the eccentric music teacher, played by Sylvia Kristel, who has an affair with a student while also trying to help him pursue his musical talents.
Despite all the distractions and hijinks, Christine and Jim manage to find some time alone and eventually reconcile their relationship. The film ends with the students performing a musical number at the school's talent show.
