Pray for Death is a martial arts action film released in 1985, directed by Gordon Hessler and starring Sho Kosugi as Akira Saito. The movie follows Akira, a former ninja who moves with his family to Houston, Texas to start a new life and open a Japanese restaurant.

However, things take a dark turn when the family is targeted by a group of ruthless criminals who want to take over their restaurant and use it as a front for their drug trafficking operations. The thugs murder a family friend and try to frame Akira for the crime. When the police don't believe his innocence, Akira takes matters into his own hands and uses his ninja training to seek revenge and protect his family.

The film features a number of intense fight sequences and showcases Sho Kosugi's martial arts skills. It also explores themes of identity, cultural assimilation, and familial loyalty.
