Power of Attorney is a crime drama film released in 1995, directed by Howard Avedis. The movie stars Danny Aiello in the lead role of Joseph Scassi, a powerful mafia don who is facing charges of murder and extortion. Scassi hires a young, ambitious lawyer named Tom Logan (played by Elias Koteas) to defend him in court.

As the trial progresses, it becomes evident that Scassi is not only guilty of the charges but also willing to do whatever it takes to avoid getting convicted. Logan, who initially sees the case as an opportunity to further his career, becomes increasingly disillusioned with Scassi's ruthless tactics and starts to question his own moral principles.

Meanwhile, Scassi's enemies within the mafia start to close in on him, putting not only his freedom but also his life in jeopardy. Logan finds himself caught in the middle of a dangerous power struggle, where the stakes are high and no one can be trusted.

Power of Attorney is a tense and gripping movie that explores the seedy world of organized crime and the lengths some people will go to protect their interests. The film is marked by strong performances from Aiello and Koteas, as well as a well-crafted screenplay that keeps the viewer on edge until the final verdict is reached.
