Poveri ma ricchissimi is a 2017 Italian comedy film directed by Fausto Brizzi. The movie revolves around the lives of two families, the Montecchis and the Cucciolones, who are neighbors and have a long-standing rivalry. Both families are struggling financially, but they believe that appearing wealthy is the key to success.

They are always trying to one-up their rivals, the Cucciolones. Meanwhile, the Cucciolones are a family of three, consisting of single mother Maria (Bianca Guaccero) and her two children, Stefano (Lodovica Comello) and Duccio (Matteo Oscar Giuggioli). Maria is a struggling hairdresser, and her children are trying to help her keep the family afloat.

When the Montecchis and Cucciolones hear about a lottery with a grand prize of ten million euros, they both decide to play and hope to win. However, their plans go awry when they accidentally share the same winning ticket. Reluctantly, they agree to share the winnings, but tensions rise over how to divide the money.

As the two families start experiencing the luxuries of wealth, they realize that their true happiness lies in their love for one another. The film ends with the families coming together and enjoying each other's company, showing that in the end, family is all that matters.

Poveri ma ricchissimi was a commercial success, grossing over 15 million euros at the box office. The film's success led to a sequel, Poveri ma ricchi, which was released in 2018.
