Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead is a horror comedy musical film that follows the story of a fast food restaurant built on an ancient Indian burial ground. The restaurant, American Chicken Bunker, is set to open and is causing uproar among the local activists who claim it’s a sacrilege to the burial site.
As construction continues, a group of teenagers working at the restaurant begin to experience strange occurrences and supernatural events. When the kitchen is taken over by demon-possessed zombie chickens, chaos ensues and the staff is forced to fight for their lives against the deadly poultry.
Throughout the film, social commentary and satire are used to critique the fast food industry, American consumerism, and cultural insensitivity. The movie features several musical numbers, including a dance sequence with anthropomorphic chicken nuggets.
As the employees fight to survive and stop the chickens from taking over the town, they must also face their own personal demons and prejudices. The film culminates in a bloody and hilarious battle between the living and the dead, with a surprising resolution that pokes fun at the horror genre and its tropes.
