The movie Popcorn is a horror film that revolves around a group of enthusiastic film students who decide to organize a horror movie festival at an old theater. The theater holds a dark history as it was the same place where a tragic fire broke out in 1978 which killed several people.
As the film students work hard to set up the festival, strange things start happening. The projector starts malfunctioning, and the sound system goes haywire. Soon, the festival attendees begin experiencing unexplained deaths and injuries that seem directly related to the movies being shown.
As the night progresses, it becomes apparent that the theater is cursed. The spirits of the victims of the tragic fire have returned, seeking vengeance on those who are responsible or connected to their deaths. The students, who have unwittingly reopened the old wounds of the tragic event, are now struggling to survive the night while being plagued with unexplainable phenomena.
The film takes a chilling turn as it becomes a real-life horror movie with attendees fleeing for their lives as they are stalked by the ghosts out to punish them for their misdeeds. The terror of the festival reaches its climax as the students attempt to confront the vengeful spirits, bringing the tension to a heart-stopping conclusion.
