Police is a French crime thriller film directed by Anne Fontaine. The movie follows Mangin, a police inspector in Paris who uses his power and connections to gather information about the illicit activities of the Tunisian brothers who run a drug-trafficking network.
Mangin is a tough and uncompromising cop who is willing to use any means necessary to get the conviction he seeks. He is aided by his informants, who work in the criminal underworld, and by the police commission trainee who catches his eye.
Mangin arrests one of the brothers, Simon, and his girlfriend Noria, who he suspects of being involved in the drug operation. But when the brothers hire a lawyer who manages to get Noria released, she promptly steals 2 million francs from them and disappears.
Noria becomes a target of the Tunisian brothers, who suspect her of the theft. She also becomes a pawn in a dangerous game between Mangin and the lawyer, who are both vying for her affections.
Mangin finds himself falling for Noria, but his erratic behavior and violent methods alienate her. Meanwhile, the Tunisian brothers become increasingly desperate to recover their stolen money and exact revenge.
